Come On Down !

That’s right! Come on down, or over, or up, or however you have to go to get here. The Northern Michigan Relief Sale begins tomorrow, Friday, August 4, 2023 at 9 a.m. and continues on Saturday. Come to the Oscoda County Fairgrounds. There is so much to do and see and hear and purchase.

The Garage Sale is overflowing the tables. The Used Book Sale has run out of shelf and table space. There will be an abundance of Baked Goods. Live plants in whimsical containers will also be for sale. Auction and Silent auction goodies are piling up. Kids’ World is filling up with things for the young among us. Do you like veggies? We have those, too. Local crafters have put together a whale of a lot of clever and beautiful items for you to enjoy. The Color Booth is Simply Black and White this year. You can participate in the Fun Run. The Concert Friday evening promises to be spectacular with the Abello Family Band. Followed by a Family Movie.

Of course, the main thing that most come for are the QUILTS, QUILTS, QUILTS. They will be auctioned on Saturday. But you can preview them Friday evening. Blessing Bids will be collected then,too. Don’t forget to check out the Color Challenge and vote for your favorite. They will be auctioned on Saturday along with the quilts.

Oh did I mention the food? Whole Hog Sausage and Pancake Breakfast, Pasties, Chicken Barbeque, Ice Cream, Doughnuts, plus other delicious things. Be sure to check out all the offerings.  No need to go hungry.

Go hungry is one thing we are trying to help with. MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) uses the funds generated by this sale to help those around the world who are in need. Food and clean water are just some of the things they do. There will be a representative from MCC at the sale to give you more information.
