Wooden Quilt Block

Most quilts are soft and cuddly. What do you say about one made of wood? One response might be “NO! Not on my bed!” Great, because it doesn’t belong on your bed at all. How can that be? It is meant to hang on the wall. Still it is not your normal wall hanging. This is a different form of patchwork using wooden pieces instead of cloth.

Lowell Miller made this extraordinary wooden wall hanging using different species of wood. Each wood is allowed to show forth its own beauty. No paints or stains are used just the color of the natural wood. The result is stunning.
