A Table in Memory of Beth Esch
As many of you know, Beth Esch, a long time Northern Michigan Relief Sale volunteer, finished her earthly life earlier this year. Beth and husband Bill were directors of the sale for quite a few years. Beth also touched many in the community through her years of teaching, friendly ways, and not to be forgotten candy. She was unable to be at last year’s sale so her voice during the Quilt Auction was silenced early. Those who knew her deeply miss all she was and did.
Bill asked a local craftsman who builds furniture to do a table to honor and commemorate Beth for the 2025 Northern Michigan Relief Sale. Beth loved and collected rocks from many different places including right here in Michigan. Some of these rocks are featured in the table that was built. A multitude of pebbles are overlain with some larger rock slices. There are petoskey stones, fossils, agates, a pudding stone, and petrified wood among the grouping. They are embedded in a resin pour in the center of a walnut table. The photos show the rock river before the finishing of the wood. It is spectacular.
If you are a rock hound. If you want to remember Beth. If you want to support the Northern Michigan Relief Sale. Then this table is for you. Come on August 2nd and bid to own this beautiful table.
