Woodworking Returns to Sale

We have many talented woodworkers who make beautifully crafted items and donate them to the Northern Michigan Relief Sale Auction. In addition, we sometimes have pieces re-donated from former masters of the craft. This year, 2025, we are lucky to have quite a few items that have returned to us. Many of you may remember these names. Some are gone from us. Some are still around, but no longer woodworking.

Ira Esch made an untold number of things for the Northern Michigan Relief Sale. We have 5 small boxes, perhaps jewelry boxes or treasure boxes signed by Ira. Two of them have a tray insert and three are a plain box. All are lined with felt. They measure approximately 9x5x3½.

Emmerson Troyer made a variety of things for our sale. The small cedar chest is one that has returned. It measures 10x6x4½ and is stamped with his name.

Oland Kauffman made the raised tray. The wood is walnut. It measures 10½ x 3½ . Signed OEK

Earl Webb made the toy with the falling pieces. It measures 23½ inches tall. It is stamped with his name.

Clifford Yoder made the tiny shoe. It measures only 2×1½. Shoes of different sizes were  his signature pieces. His initials CY are on the bottom. The bird bowl stand is not signed but looks like a piece by Cifford.

Emerson Gerber made several things that have returned to us. All are stamped with his name. The inlaid bowl is 10×3. The other bowl is 7½ x3½. The candlesticks are 7½ inches tall. The wooden decorative piece is approximately 7×6.

There are so many pieces from the past that you can own now. If you know these gentlemen. They bring back memories. Bid on them to take home a piece of Relief Sales  past. All proceeds go to help those in need around the world. These men would be glad to help other again.
