Stamp Albums on Auction
Get ready for a little philately. You’ll enjoy it. It’s fun and educational. You may already be doing it. Stamp collecting is what I am talking about here. We have some vintage stamp albums, first day covers, loose stamps, and a vintage stamp catalog.

The first album is a 1939 US stamp album. There are over 200 stamps in the album. Dates on them range from the late 1800’s to the 1950’s. A local collector has looked at this album and some of the stamps contained in this collection could have some good values. There are some average stamps as well. I have captured photos of a few pages. Postage due, blocks of stamps, and uncancelled commemoratives. Obviously I can’t take pictures of all the pages.
The second album is a 1938 world stamp album. It contains some older US
stamps as well. I photographed a couple of pages from this one also. Abyssinia and Algeria. Many of the countries in this album no longer exist. The stamps in here are mostly not dated but look to be from the 1930’s and 40’s. Over 500 stamps are in the album.

First Day Covers with the special envelope are worth more than plain envelopes. We have three: a 1947 – 150th Anniversary of the launching of the U.S.S. Constitution, a 1960 – 50th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts, and a 1965 Civil War Centennial.
Loose stamps (about 40 ), two approval booklets of foreign stamps and a 1936 Stamp Catalog from the Scott Stamp Company finish up the groupings. This is a good chance to get some vintage stamps to complete or start a collecting hobby. Just click on a picture to get a close up view.
