Travel With Trunks
A century or more ago, travel was a lot more complicated than it is today. It was slow and you needed to take everything with you because there were no convenience stores. Even a short trip required a lot of luggage. There were no rolling suitcases or large duffel bags. Trunks were the way to go (literally).
We have two trunks to offer you on the General Auction of the 2024 Northern Michigan Relief Sale . I am not sure of the age, but they definitely have a number of years on them. The style and decoration speaks to a different century. Of course they are not in perfect condition. They are however very usable for storage or decorative purposes.
The larger of the two trunks is 30 x 22. The handles have been replaced with rope. The smaller trunk is 26 x 17. It has one damaged handle and one that is intact. It also has its tray inside. Both have been decorated with nice period pictures. The tin on the exterior has an embossed floral pattern. Just think of all the places they may have seen!
You can bid on them and maybe take them on one more trip to your house. Remember all proceeds from the Northern Michigan Relief Sale are used to help people in need throughout the world.
