Tools of Yesterday
How many of us work at physical labor these days? How many labor saving devices are available to us today? Some tools of yesteryear are still around, some are obsolete. We have a few of those tools for auction at the 2024 Northern Michigan Relief Sale.
Pulleys are useful. Workers still employ them today. We have a good sized pulley for the General Auction. It has a diameter of 7 inches. Though a bit rusty, it still turns.
I believe the next tool is called a hay fork. I don’t think that it is utilized today in the age of round bales. Perhaps some still use it for the smaller bales. It appears to be in good, working condition.
Finally, the foot pedal grinding wheel. With electrification many man powered tools went out of fashion and utility. Still, some continued to use wheels such as this. The look of this grinding wheel will bring back memories for many. This wheel is still functioning.
If you love old tools, come and bid on these pieces of history on August 3, 2024. You can help people around the world who are in need with your purchase.
