See the Quilts
As the calendar page turns to June, summer thinking begins to take place. One of the things of summer in Fairview is the Northern Michigan Relief Sale. A big thing at the Relief Sale is the Quilt Auction. The handiwork, the designs, the colors, the overall beauty of the handmade quilts can thrill anyone. Plenty of work, skill, time, and love goes into each quilt. There are quilts of all sizes, to fit any bed, from crib to king size. There are also quilted wall hangings with all sorts of subject matter and design. Have a favorite color or need a certain color scheme to fit your decor? Chances are that you will see it at the Quilt Auction.
Some individuals get more excited than others when it comes to quilts. If you love quilts, you can certainly see them at the Northern Michigan Relief Sale this August. You can do more than see them, you can purchase them as well. What if you want to see quilts now? Well, you can! Some of the quilts will be displayed around the communities of Mio and Fairview from now to Relief Sale time. Start looking for them. Places that will be hosting the quilts are First Bank in Fairview, Fairview Mennonite Church in Fairview, Citizens Bank in Mio, Oscoda County Library in Mio, and Stitches to You in Mio. The Fairview Dollar Store may also host quilts. Keep watching! The quilts on display may change throughout the summer. It’s an excellent chance to see quilt art before August. If you like what you see, come out to the Relief Sale the first weekend in August and see a lot more beautiful quilts and other handmade items.
