No More Penny Power

“What! No more Penny Power?”

“That’s right.”

“But we love Penny Power.”

“Great!”

“Why is Penny Power no longer being done?”

“Let me explain.”

Penny Power is being renamed. You can still collect all the coins (including pennies) like you did before. The new name will be My Coins Count. The reason for this is simple. Canada no longer has the penny. Since MCC and Relief Sales are active in Canada the term Penny Power would no longer have meaning there. And let’s face it the penny is not the best coin to collect anyway. This new name makes it obvious that we take all coins. The penny is out and coins are in.

If you want more information go to www.mcc.org/my-coins-count. The new logo can be seen there. There’s a new song that you can hear and download the music. There are even some ideas for getting everyone involved. If you used Penny Power in the past, you should probably check that website out.

So keep collecting those coins. They really do add up. Your coins can count!
