Comforters for Ukraine

Do you have time to make a comforter before August 5th? Can you even make a comforter? Do you know how to get a comforter to Ukraine? Don’t worry we have you covered. There will be a new option this year to sponsor a comforter for Ukraine or possibly another place of need. You can donate for a comforter to be sent to MCC. We will send it to them for you. The money raised through this sponsorship will be designated for Ukrainian relief. The details are being worked out, but you may sponsor a comforter for more than its retail value in order to help those in Ukraine that are in deep need of food, shelter, and clothing.

We take our lifestyle for granted in the US. Imagine what your life would be like if suddenly everything you own, everything you know and rely on was ripped away from you. You have no home, food is iffy, all of your possessions are gone or left behind. Your family is separated. Many relatives and friends are dead or injured. Wouldn’t a simple thing like a soft, warm comforter give you  a little hope? A little respite from the awfulness of your life?

The good news is, YOU CAN HELP!  Sponsor a comforter at the 2022 Northern Michigan Relief Sale. Send some cheer into a needy person’s life. MCC will use the funds generated from your generosity to help in other ways in Ukraine as well. It really is like helping twice.
