Blessing Bids for 2013
The Blessing Bids for this year will be broken into two parts, a morning session and an afternoon session.
The Blessing Bids BEFORE the Morning Quilt Auction
are for CLEAN WATER
The Traveling Quilt – MCC Water Projects
We will take Blessing Bids in the amounts of:
$100 – $50 – $25
The Blessing Bids given during the morning will be applied toward CLEAN WATER projects by MCC, such as:
Total of $2,000 – per Tree Nursery – Tanzania
Total of $500 – per Sand Dam – Africa
Total of $450 – per water purification set – Uganda

$300 – Global Family – Focus on Bolivia
About 30 orphaned or abandoned children live at Stansberry Children’s Home in Santa Cruz. MCC Global Family supports their education, including vocational training in carpentry, sewing, cooking, welding and crafts. They also learn Christian values and helping them become full participants in society. Eight Children at this home need sponsorship for 2013.
$298 Shipping Relief, Hygiene, Infant Care, Sewing and School Kits
MCC’s response to many crisis and emergencies around the world is in the form of small kits. Relief Kits, Hygiene Kits, Infant Kits, Sewing Kits, and School Kits provide hurting people with items of daily living that have been lost or left behind when evacuating homes, or watching homes being destroyed.
This amount is the average cost for moving one MCC shipment 200 miles.
$288 – Eight Month Vocation Training – Bangladesh
MCC program is offering a new start for girls and women who have been forced into sex work. This gives women in Bangladesh the capacity to start over, learn vocational skills and find new sources of income.
$78 – MCC Meat Canner – Costs for 24 Can Carton
Each year MCC sends its mobile meat canner to 33 locations in the United States and Canada. Thousands of volunteers prepare and pack thousands of cans of wholesome beef and turkey meat. This is then distributed within North America and around the world to provide safe, healthy protein for needy people.
$77 – URGENT NEED – MIDDLE EAST CRISIS
This amount will provide a monthly food basket and support one month’s rent for a refugee Syrian family through organizations in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon.
$25 – URGENT NEED – MIDDLE EAST CRISIS
MCC is assisting partner organizations in Syria and Lebanon in response to ongoing violence. There are at least 1.75 million people displaced in Syria and surrounding countries.
You can also DONATE AT ANY TIME AT THE CASHIER’S WINDOW with or without a bidder number.
IF A PROJECT BECOMES FULLY FUNDED, MCC WILL APPLY DONATED FUNDS OVER THE AMOUNT NEEDED TO OTHER PROJECTS THAT ARE AS SIMILAR AS POSSIBLE.
