So, what is a color challenge anyway? This is the sixth year for our Color Challenge. Kits of 5 fat quarters (ask a quilter) all identical are sold each year to eager participants starting Friday evening. Then the work and fun begins. Crafters can add up to 5 other fabrics but must use all 5 of the kit’s pieces in some way. Size is limited to 40×40. Creativity flows and you get the great variety that we observe every year. Techniques and patterns vary. There is even a table runner this year!
Don’t forget the People’s Choice on Friday evening. You get to vote for your personal favorite Color Challenge piece. Of course, you have to be there to vote. The winner is announced on Saturday. Voting, in a way, can also be done Saturday at the Quilt Auction as that is when the Color Challenge creations are sold. You could go home with your favorite if you raise your hand often enough.
