Horse and Buggy
Clippety-clop, Clippety-clop… The sound, the feel, the smell of riding in a horse drawn buggy. Have you had that experience? Want to have it in miniature? Expect to see it in the 2018 Northern Michigan Relief Sale Auction.
Do you remember the scale model farm machinery that Virgil Handrich use to make for the sale? Well we have one of his scale models this year up for auction, but it’s not machinery. It’s a 1/8 scale horse and buggy. He made it in 2006 or 2007(not sure). He kept this one because it was the first one like it that he made. There are a few of these around. I’m told two or three others exist. One is in Der Dutchman restaurant in Sarasota, Florida. His son decided to send this one up to our sale.
This incredible scale model has a brass buggy covered in vinyl to look like a real life-sized one. Someone is even enjoying a ride. The horse he did not make. It was purchased, but the harness was made by Virgil. This will probably be your only chance to own a horse and buggy made by Virgil Handrich.
Come and bid to take home a memory of times past and a fine piece of craftsmanship.
