Crochet Hooks made by Hand
How many of you crochet? Have you ever used a crochet hook that was handmade? Have you even ever seen one? Now is your chance crocheters and non-crocheters alike. This year at the Northern Michigan Relief Sale there will be hand crafted crochet hooks for sale. The maker of these hooks is Jake Troyer of Hesston, Kansas. He is the son of Ellen Esch Schrock. some of you recognize that name. If you don’t, she is the sister of Ira and Claude Esch that mant of you knew. He plans to attend the sale this year.

These crochet hooks are very elegant. I could see them with a jewel on the tip of the handle. From the picture you get the sense that they are silky smooth and would feel wonderful and balanced in you hand. As you can see hook sizes vary to meet your particular need. The colors are from the wood used. As the list in the photo says four different woods are utilized, Cedar, Oak, Walnut, and Osage Orange. Some of those we are familiar with, but Osage Orange is a bit different.
